What you’ll learn
This workshop helps you:
- spot signs that a child may be at risk of harm, abuse or neglect
- understand your role in keeping children safe
- feel confident in knowing what to do if you are worried about a child
- create safe environments for children in sport
- put children at the heart of your sessions
- meet the standards needed to carry out your role safely and effectively (minimum requirement for many national governing bodies.)
The course is reviewed often by UK Coaching. They work with the NSPCC and Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) to make sure it’s up to date and based on real‑life scenarios.

- Under‑18s must attend with an adult
- Workshops made for groups aged 16–18 can be arranged without accompanying adults
