Thanks to £25,000 from the Energy Saving Grant, Maesteg Squash Club installed a new heating system at their club. LED lighting and solar panels were also installed.
The grant has transformed our clubhouse. It’s now brighter, warmer, and much more energy efficient. We’re proud to be one of the most sustainable clubs in the area.

Dovey Yacht Club was spending around £1,100 a month on energy. A £24,581 Energy Saving Grant helped them install solar panels and switch to LED lighting.
Just two weeks in, we’re already seeing great results. It’s become a bit of an obsession checking how much energy we’re generating!
With 20 solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall battery, the club is can spend less on energy and more on getting people sailing.

Harvesting rain can provide a sustainable source of water for sports clubs – especially those who rely on tip top greens and pitches. It’s not only sustainable but can lower your water bills, too.
Gorseinon Cricket Club were awarded £6,887 from the Energy Saving Grant to install a rainwater harvesting system. This way they can use the rain to water their wicket.
Now all the teams at the club, from the under 9’s to the women’s softball cricket team, can play on a high-quality pitch, without needing to turn on the tap.
If your solar panels are producing more energy than you’re using, you can store it up for when you need it most. That way that sunshine from the summer comes into good use during the colder months.
£20,269 from the Energy Saving Grant helped Holyhead Golf Club to install storage batteries for their existing solar panels, as well as a new energy-efficient boiler.
We were facing significant increases in energy costs. The grant helped us install solar batteries and a new boiler, helping us maintain our utility expenses.
