We work closely with specialists to provide safeguarding support to partners. Helping ensure that everyone can take part in sport safely and free from harm.
Examples of safeguarding include:
- background checks for coaches, officials and volunteers
- codes of conduct for athletes, coaches and staff
- child protection policies
- education and training programmes
- having facilities that are accessible to everyone
- reporting lower-level concerns and poor behaviours or practice
If you have any questions about safeguarding, email our governance team at governance@sport.wales.
