A call for evidence is currently underway to inform a new 10-year Culture and Sport Strategy.
The ambition is bold: to make Wales a culture and sport powerhouse, where creativity, participation and excellence are seen not as optional extras, but as an essential part of national life and a basic right for all.
For the first time, sport and the creative industries will be included alongside culture in a single national strategy.
Over the coming months, Welsh Government will be engaging with people from culture, sport and the creative industries sectors across Wales. There will also be opportunities to join online sessions. You will be able to sign up for these here.
The call for evidence is open until 18 December, and everyone across Wales, individuals and organisations alike, are invited to contribute ideas on how we unleash the country's true potential.
Findings from the engagement process and call for evidence will be published next year, forming the basis of the new strategy which Welsh Government aims to publish in the Spring.
