Access to the resources is part of the #BeActiveWales campaign, which has seen Sport Wales team up with organisations across sport and leisure in Wales to encourage everyone to be active. The #BeActiveWales campaign aims to provide guidance and sessions so that every person can take part in some form of activity – from those looking for gentle sessions to more advance exercise.
“Play to Learn and Dragon Sport are two of our core programmes that have made a big impact on young people over many years,” said Sport Wales Acting CEO, Brian Davies.
“The resources focus on helping children develop the key skills to take part in sport. Mastering the key skills for sport in a safe and fun way means you’re far more likely to participate in the future.
“It’s important that we keep children active and provide them with enough variety to keep them motivated. Using these resources, parents can be confident they are keeping their children active but also mirroring sessions that would take place in school.”
