Importantly, the campaign will be aimed at people of all abilities and experience, so that everyone has the chance to be active.
- Gentle Activity – Gentle home activities for people who might be new to exercise or have restricted movement.
- General Activity – Activities for people who enjoy sport and exercise and want to continue to reap the health benefits.
- Advanced Activity – For people who take part in sport regularly and want more intense training.
Sport Wales will also be providing increased access to its school resources for use at home.
“It’s been hugely refreshing to see so many people offering support get people active already,” said Sport Wales Acting CEO Brian Davies.
“Everyone in Welsh sport wants to help and play their part, particularly at a time when looking after physical and mental health has never been so important.
“Our huge asset is the expertise we have access to and we’re going to harness that to provide lots of varied and interesting ways to get active.
“We feel it’s important not to leave anyone behind, which is why we’ll be looking at supporting activity from the very first step of activity upwards.”
