A number of Queen's Birthday Honours have been announced for sports people and administrators for their impact on Welsh sport.

This list includes:

OBE 

Jade Louise Jones, MBE. For services to Taekwondo and to Sport. (Clwyd)

MBE  

Loren Dykes. For services to Women's Football in Wales. (West Glamorgan)

MBE  

Michael Nicholas. For services to Rugby League in Wales. (Cheshire)

MBE

David Morgan. The only sportsperson to have won a medal at six different Commonwealth Games and overall gold at five.

BRITISH EMPIRE MEDAL

George Edward Evans. For services to Table Tennis in Wales. (Vale of Glamorgan)

Ali Abdi. Services to his community and sport in Cardiff.

Mark Frost. Community Projects manager Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Development manager, Cricket Wales. For services to Cricket. (South Glamorgan)

CBE  

Colin James Graves. Chairman England and Wales Cricket Board. For services to Cricket. (Surrey)
