ACASC is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that helps and advises clubs on running (or becoming) a Community Amateur Sports Club.

Business Wales offers a free service that provides impartial, independent support and advice to people starting, running and growing a business in Wales.

BME Sport Cymru
BME Sport Cymru is a Sport Wales funded project that can offer guidance and support on how to make your clubs more welcoming and inclusive for people from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. Training and workshops are also delivered to increase knowledge, awareness of barriers and how to engage with the different BME groups in your areas.
Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU)
The Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) is a partnership between the NSPCC, Sport England, Sport Northern Ireland and Sport Wales. The Unit works with sports organisations to help them minimise the risk of child abuse during sporting activities.
Communities First
The programme provides funding in areas known as Communities First Clusters to narrow the economic, education/skills and health gaps between the most deprived and more affluent areas.
Community Shares Wales
Community Shares Wales can offer sport and community organisations guidance and support, whether you are starting, running or growing an organisation to raise funding from community shares. This is a form of local investment where a club’s membership or supporters can invest in the club and its future aspirations. The support available is flexible ranging from support to register the company, to assistance in writing and assessing your share offer.
County Voluntary Councils (CVCs)
WCVA, county voluntary councils (CVCs) and volunteer centres (VCs) are a network of support organisations across Wales that work with charities, voluntary and community groups, social enterprises, trustees and individual volunteers. WCVA works at a national level, while CVCs/VCs work at a local level.
Diverse Cymru
A charity that provides equality and diversity consultancy and training services. They can help develop Strategic Equality Plans and carry out Equality Impact Assessments.
Fields in Trust
Protecting vital open spaces all across the UK, from sports pitches to children’s playgrounds, bicycle trails to country parks, Fields in Trust makes sure that all kinds of outdoor spaces are safeguarded forever.
GB Sport
It provides expert training and support through online training, workshops and software. You will find free guidance on their website.
Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG)
The IOG is the leading professional organisation for grounds management, recognised by the National Governing Bodies of Sport and the public, private and voluntary sectors for its industry knowledge and technical expertise.
Join In
Join In is the nation’s charity for local sports volunteering. It supports the clubs and groups who need volunteers most and promote opportunities for people to lend a hand. They recognise the huge social value created by volunteers with their campaigns.
LGB&T (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual & Transgender) Sport Cymru
It challenges perceptions, breaking down barriers & promoting opportunities for LGB and T individuals in sport & physical activity in Wales. Check out and sign up to their charter!
Local Authority Sports Development teams
The sports development teams within local authorities work to increase the number of people taking part in sport. They work with a range of partners to create new and further develop existing activities.
National Governing Bodies
Across Wales there are many different national governing bodies of sport (NGBs) who have responsibility for managing their specific sport.
Show Racism the Red Card
Show Racism the Red Card is the UK’s anti-racism educational charity established in 1996. The majority of the campaign’s output is the delivery of education to young people and adults in their schools, their workplaces and at events held in football stadiums. In addition to the direct education of young people and adults, Show Racism the Red Card produces resources which help promote a message of understanding. Social Business Wales
Social Business Wales can provide intensive one-to-one support to sports clubs and community organisations which have ambitions to grow and a viable business proposal. Their team of advisors are experts in: business planning; visioning and growth planning; financial planning; board development; legal structure advice and incorporation; sales strategy and marketing planning; plus much more. Social Business Wales is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Welsh Government. It is delivered by the Wales Co-operative Centre and part of the Business Wales family. Sport and Recreation Alliance
The Sport and Recreation Alliance is a trade association for the governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation in the UK – organisations like The FA, the Rugby Football Union, UK Athletics, the Ramblers and British Rowing.
Sported
It supports community sport clubs and groups across the UK that are using the power of sport to tackle the root causes of some of society’s biggest problems such as crime, anti-social behaviour and obesity. It provides free business and financial support and a network of volunteer mentors providing expert consultancy on business issues.
Sports Leaders
Sports Leaders UK is an independent charity. Its award and qualifications equip young people with employability skills for life improving motivation, self-esteem, communication, team work and confidence.
Sport Wales
Sport Wales is the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in Wales. The main adviser on sporting matters to the Welsh Government, it is responsible for distributing National Lottery funds to both elite and grassroots sport in Wales. It aims to get every child in Wales hooked on sport for life and to create a nation of champions.

StreetGames launched in 2007 to change lives, change communities and change sport. Today, StreetGames helps over 600 community organisations across the UK to take sport to the doorstep in disadvantaged communities.

It’s the UK's technical agency for coaching. It supports its partners to recruit, develop and retain the coaches they need. They’re a central source of coaching expertise
