Every employer with at least one member of staff now has a new responsibility of putting those employees who meet certain criteria into a workplace pension scheme and contributing towards it. This means that all employers have to set up a workplace pension scheme and automatically enrol employees into it.
These new rules place an added burden onto clubs, not just in terms of cost but also time but it is vital that clubs comply as there are heavy fines should they fail.
