Fund Changes 2024/25

Some items that are eligible for funding will be limited at different levels. You can find a list of these below.

Capped levels of funding for specific items:

You can apply for:

  • A maximum of £40,000 for floodlight projects.
  • 50% of the total project cost, up to a maximum of £20,000 per applicant for the following items:.
    - Cricket nets
    - Drainage projects
    - Practice ranges and simulator rooms
    - Pathway projects
    - Sport surfaces, including tennis courts

Note: Grant awards for sport surfaces may be increased, dependant on the financial contribution from the applicant

Pitch Maintenance Equipment

You can apply for a total of £10,000 to include:

  • A maximum of £5,000 towards grass mowers
  • A further maximum of £5,000 for mower attachments 

Note: Applicants will be advised to enrol a member of the club onto a Grounds Maintenance Course.

Trailers/Containers

You can only apply for funding for a trailer or container:

  • If you are also applying for equipment.
  • Up to a maximum of £3,000 

Note: If a trailer or container is more than £3,000 or you aren’t applying for equipment, trailers and containers are still eligible for funding through our “A Place for Sport” scheme with Crowdfunder.

Venue Hire

You can only apply for venue hire: 

  • If you are starting a new team, new age group or new section at your club
  • For a maximum of two teams per application
  • For 1 hour a week for a total of 10 weeks per team.

Coach Education

When applying for funding for coach education courses:

  • You must submit all the names of the volunteers or coaches who will be participating.
  • Only new coach education awards are eligible. 
  • Coaching education renewals are ineligible
