There are two parts to our team:

  1. The Working Group
  2. The Delivery Team

The Working Group

The Working Group provides strategic direction for Sport Wales's digital transformation and ultimate decision-making for what gets taken forward by the Delivery Group through the Digital Roadmap.

The Working Group includes our Executive Team Sponsors Graham Williams and Emma Wilkins.

The Working Group is chaired by Rhian Evans and Liam Hull.

Hayley Soper provides business and administrative support to the group.

The Delivery Group members currently sitting on the Working Group are Matt Kinnear, Phil Stevens, Paul Batcup, Owen Burgess and Tara Rhoseyn.

The Delivery Team

The new Delivery Team continues to take shape and includes staff from across Technology Solutions, Communications, Service Design and Insights.

Responsible for taking forward delivery of the Roadmap, the Delivery Team will add support, experience and skills to project teams as required.

Matt Kinnear is the Digital Estate Lead (new role), responsible for ensure our technology infrastructure is fit-for-purpose.

Phil Stevens continues to lead on data use and cyber security.

Paul Batcup takes up the Digital Programme Lead (new role) position to support programme planning and communications.

Owen Burgess continues as the Service Design and Development Lead, taking a strategic view of service improvements.

Owain Morris continues as the Service Design Officer and an operational understanding of service improvements and project planning.

Tara Rhoseyn is the Digital and Service Design Programme Manager, based in Communications - a role focusing on programme design and content design.

Matthew James is the Technology Programme Manager, based in Technology Solutions - a role focusing on ensuring any technology development meets specifications and fits with our infrastructure.

Steffan Berrow is the new User Research Lead, to put user feedback and insight at the heart of our service design.

There are two Digital Apprentices. Part of a Welsh Government initiative, Anselm Powell will be working across the team, as well as completing a degree in Software Engineering at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Yusra Hussain is based in Technology Solutions, as well as undertaking the same undergraduate course.

Tom Morgan has taken up the role of Digital Service Desk Technician.

You might also notice that several departmental roles have changed to support the new approach. For example, Owen Sullivan now working as the Digital Estate Deputy Lead and Calvin Ley as the Service Desk Manager.
