Digital and Service Design Team

Who? We hear you ask.

The Digital and Service Design Team is a brand new approach for Sport Wales. 

It means closer working between a number of departments, while a restructure of some roles means we have been able to bring in staff with varied skills and experience to support a fresh outlook to developing our digital projects. 

It means that skills and resources - such as technology infrastructure, security, content design, user research etc. - are all supported as one entity.

Why make changes?

In the past, our approach to developing digital services has been quite fragmented and have not always considered what those using our services actually needed.

And with digital services and solutions being a vital part of our offer, we wanted to build a structure that could help support the organisation to better manage our digital improvements.

Our work with the Centre for Digital Public Services has been a hugely positive experience for the staff involved and has highlighted the industry standard approach we should be taking. 

So, we are embracing a new way of working, taking best practice and a fresh and exciting approach to digital service design.

This hub will be kept updated with our work and guidance on how you can work with us.

What Will We Do?

In short, our work will focus on:

• Developing a Roadmap for the digital transformation of Sport Wales.
• Supporting colleagues with project proposals.
• Ensuring the Digital Principles are followed at all times.
• Work to deliver agreed Digital Roadmap projects.
