Swansea Metropolitan University
Swansea Metropolitan University wanted to improve the health and
well-being of its 450 members of staff.
So the university applied for a Sport Wales grant and used the
money to convert part of their canteen into a fitness suite and
gym, allowing staff to train before, during and after work.
The classes have been a roaring success; so much so that they
now need to reconfigure the room and are in discussion with Sport
Wales about further expansion.
But the new facility hasn't just impacted on the staff; one of
the lecturers is using the facility to give students hands on
experience of organising and delivering sports classes as part of
their degree course.

If you think a Sport Wales grant could make a difference to your
community then why not apply for one today.
