How to apply

Applying for a Sport Wales grant is now even easier!

There are just 4 simple steps to apply for a Sport Wales grant.

1. Check out the Our Grants section to find out which grant is most suitable for your needs. If you are looking for athlete funding then click here.

2. You can apply online from the web page of the grant you are interested in, as well as on this page, by clicking on the "Apply Online" button on the right. You will be taken in to the Sport Wales Grants Portal where you will be able to select the grant you wish to apply for. The 3 "Help" documents on the right will provide you with everything you need to know about the application process, including some handy hints and tips to help the process run smoothly.

3. Fill in the relevant online application form, providing as much detail as you can, and attached any supporting documentation that is requested.

4. Finally, read our terms and conditions then submit your completed online application form and we will do the rest.

It's that simple!

High Risk sports

Please note, there are some high risk sports where an applicant organisation needs to be affiliated to their relevant National Governing Body of Sport before applying for a grant.

Protecting the investment - Fields in Trust

Sport Wales supports the work of Fields in Trust, we draw your attention to their work in relation to the protection of pitch and playing field sites. Fields in Trust uses deeds of dedication to secure long term protection in partnership with landowners. We suggest that you give consideration to entering into a Deed of Dedication with Fields in Trust, who do not charge for the process, in relation to your site.
