We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in helping us achieve our goal of "getting every child in Wales hooked on sport for life", and making us a happier and healthier nation.

Sport Wales has recently become part of the Health portfolio in Government. Giving us an excellent opportunity to set out a compelling and inspirational long term vision and plan for how sport and physical recreation can enable Wales to become an active, healthy and successful nation.

As the Community Engagement Director you will be responsible for a circa £20m budget and around 30 staff members.

To be successful you will be someone with a genuine appetite for innovation, best practice and considered risk to challenge existing ways of working and embark on a transformational journey to get more people more active in Wales, despite the financial challenges we face. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to ensure stakeholders and customers are fully bought into the change required to fulfil our aspiration to get every child hooked on sports for life and developing a nation of champions.

In return, you will enjoy an excellent rewards package which includes flexible working, a Civil Service Pension, and access to an interesting variety of career progression opportunities.
